Here's another reason to get excited about the upcoming NHL playoffs: Chipotle has a hockey-related buy-one-get-one-free deal.
If you wear a hockey jersey into any participating Chipotle location after 3 p.m. Monday, April 22, you can get a free entrée item with every entrée of equal or greater value purchased (limited to five free menu items per check, subject to availability).
An NHL partner, Chipotle will have its logo displayed on ice in every game during the Stanley Cup playoffs, which are scheduled to begin on Saturday, April 20.
Chipotle also sponsors the men's and women's U.S. national hockey teams and the national junior hockey teams, which wear the Chipotle logo on its uniforms and helmets in international competition.
After the U.S. men's team won the world junior hockey championship in January, Chipotle gave the entire roster and support staff free burritos for a year to celebrate.
"As a brand that appreciates the unmatched passion of the hockey community, we take great pride in fueling the sport's spirited fans and top athletes with our real food,” said Chipotle chief brand officer Chris Brandt in a statement.
How to get Chipotle's hockey buy-one-get-one-free deal April 22
- Wear a hockey jersey – any kind, not necessarily an NHL jersey – to a participating Chipotle after 3 p.m. local time.
- Order and get a free entrée with every one of equal or higher value paid for per check, limited to five free menu items and subject to availability. That means you could order up to five entrées and and get five free ones. (Kids meals not included).
- The deal is good in-restaurant only and not valid for catering, mobile, online or delivery orders. Your purchased entrées are eligible for Chipotle Rewards points. The BOGO deal may not be combined with other coupons, promotions, or special offers.
